The ICT Task
Last Friday, Tilly asked us to finish two tasks in pairs, the former one was observing one selected blog post, the latter one was evaluating the blog post in my own blog. Here I would like to share with you the findings by our group, Yujun and I.
The Evaluation
We discussed and evaluated the the blog and the lastest blog post named 'Flippity Can Do That' in terms of four aspects.

Organisation and Layout
In terms of organisation and layout, we noticed that the blog website is well-organized by its guidance as the introduction part, the latest post part and contact part.In the blog post, it is well-designed in its obvious and catchy title, proper word counts and its clear vertical layout.
Content and Features
In the aspect of content, it is characterised by its various kinds of information, such as word, picture and video. The video chosen is intended to give instruction in details.
Ease of Use and Navigation
In the blog post, it is clear to find each part because of the subtitle presented, which conclude the content of paragraph below.
Target Audience
The blog is intended for teachers to get access in new technology and make it into use in class. At the bottom of each post, there is the comment area where visitors can share their opinions or ask questions.
Summary
Overall, I think the task is helpful for me to create my own blog because I learned from its positive feature. Here is a video in YouTube about how to create a blog.

ReplyDeleteI like that you chose to include a really recent video for blogging. It's really important to keep up to date with these things, and seeing as I already had a bit of an impression that blogging is a bit old fashioned, it's interesting to see the 2024 perspective of it and how it had been modified to fit the modern day.
Hi Ruixi - this is a brilliant start to your blog - well done! I like the way you explain in a personal way what you are writing and why. The reader knows that it is your opinion and they are your words which is very important! The post is clearly organised with left-aligned bolded headings so it is easy to read. You've included some useful screenshots too for the reader to see what the blog looks like - good work. I'm glad that you found the blog instructive - I hope you are feeling confident now about how to write your blog. You have embedded a video about blogging too - as one of your commenters said, it's great that it is about blogging in 2024 as there are probably many advice videos out there that are several years old and may no longer be relevant. She talks about making her blog into a 7-figure business - wow! I don't think that will happen to anyone on the MA module - but you never know!! Good work so far, I look forward to reading the rest of your blog posts in April - keep it up!
